Elevating Consciousness with Omar Lopez and Briana Evigan in Tulum

A 5 DAY RETREAT IN TULUM, MEXICO WITH OMAR LOPEZ AND BRIANA EVIGAN

MAY 31st TO JUNE 4th, 2018 AT AMANSALA BEACH FRONT YOGA RESORT

A CONSCIOUS GATHERING FOR CREATIVE SPIRITS TO EXPLORE SOUND, SCIENCE AND SELF EXPRESSION

The tribe unites May 31st to June 4th on the beautiful turquoise beaches of Tulum, Mexico. This retreat is curated for creatives who want to dive deeper into themselves and their passions. For 5 blissful days you will dive into yoga, sound healing, workshops, healthy food, pristine waters, ancient ruins, and community.

SOUND ( MUSIC )

The ancestors understood sound as the conduit for creation. We use sound and various forms of sound as the backdrop of our theme.  Whether we are utilizing singing bowls, drums, singing, or a set of turntables and a speaker we call upon sound/music to provide the soundtrack to our experience.

SCIENCE ( BIOLOGY )

Our body functions and exists on a certain sound frequency.  The atoms in our body rotate on the same axis at the same rate as the planet we call earth. Sound and its frequencies have various DIRECT effects on our DNA and how we experience life... therefore our biology serves as a harmonic chamber and its frequency is represented in the relationship we have with the world around us…and within us.

SELF EXPRESSION ( MOVEMENT )

Movement is one of the ways we express the language of the soul. We combine sound and science with movement in such a way that we are reawakening our energy centers to cleanse our immune system as well as amplify our consciousness. Like the ancient Ghost dances of Native Americans or the many dances of indigenous tribes across the land, or Shiva (Natarajas) dance of birth and destruction, or ‘Hathor', the Egyptian goddess of music, dance and awakening, we use movement as the thread which binds together BIOLOGY and SOUNDSTROLOGY to re assimilate into the vibrational fabric of the existence.

Space is limited so we can create an intimate group.

Briana Evigan

I'm Briana Evigan, I started off as a musician and dancer when I was 7 years old and found my way into the love of acting. I have performed in several films and a couple tv shows. Through this process and in my off time I found myself traveling constantly. Starting in Bali on a solo adventure was when I dived into who I am, crazy, wild, messy and all. Traveling and volunteering abroad has been key in helping me dive deeper into myself, and I now share that with others.

I believe dance and being in touch with your body is one of the greatest keys to connecting. What is life with out connection? When we express ourselves physically we are releasing more than what words will ever be able to express. In yoga, dance, mediation, and sound healing I find myself crying, laughing, and having the most wonderful visions. I seek to constantly release love, pain, fear, beauty, and everything in between  Facing ourselves, listening, and being present are gifts. We must train ourselves to constantly be in this space, and when we are not, we must learn to except that.

I hope to go on this journey with all of you and open our hearts up through movement and self expression. Lets find the quirks inside of us and let them be wonderful. Let's find the walls and break them down. Let's embrace the imperfections, see them, love them, and just let them be. The closer we get to understanding ourselves the more power we can have.

ABOUT TULUM & GETTING THERE

A town with warm starry nights and turquoise waters, Tulum is a picturesque paradise known for its beauty and charm. Located on the Yucatan Peninsula coast, a short distance from Cancun, it is filled with boutique hotels, amazing restaurants, and luckily is untouched by overwhelming development.

One of the most important sites in Tulum is the Mayan Ruins, which is declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. This archeological site sits on the seashore and has powerful energy surrounding it.  Tulum is also famous for its breath-taking Cenotes, which are natural sinkholes filled with fresh water.  The Mayans considered Cenotes to be an entrance to their "underworld" where the gods and spirits resided.

You can fly into Cancun Airport (CUN) and take a taxi or shuttle to Tulum.  The drive is about 1.5 to 2 hours depending on traffic.  We can assist you with booking all flights and airport transportation.  We recommend arriving by mid-day on the 16th or arriving a day early if you want to explore the town and get settled in!
